Radon Detectors

Corentium Home radon detectors are available for loan to help you assess the risk of exposure in your home. This program is offered in partnership with KFL&A Public Health.

Long-term radon exposure can caused serious health issues, including lung cancer. Every home has some level of radon – the only way to know how much is to test.

This device is meant as a screening tool to give you an approximate idea of the radon levels in your home. It is recommended that regardless of the level this device shows, that it is followed up with a long term test of at least 3 months during the fall or winter.

The detectors may be borrowed by patrons with Explore accounts for 3 weeks, and may be renewed. There are no fees for late returns, but lost or damaged items have a replacement cost of $235.

If you have borrowed a radon detector, please take our short survey to share your feedback on the program.
